• Tenant configuration management to define baselines and continuously monitor for configuration drift
• Secure tenant creation to control who can create new tenants and automatically apply governance from day one

Microsoft says the solution was informed by lessons learned from its own incident response experience, with the goal of moving customers from reactive cleanup to proactive governance.

Improvements since public preview

Since preview, Microsoft has added several enhancements:

• Higher limits for configuration monitors and snapshots for eligible licensed customers
• Richer tenant discovery insights for better visibility into related tenants
• New admin portal experiences in preview to simplify creating monitors from snapshots
• Improved delegated admin workflows for switching and managing across tenants
• Expanded support for governed add-on tenants under legacy billing models, including Enterprise Agreement and Pay-As-You-Go
